Tributes have been pouring in for a ‘much-loved’ man who tragically died after he was allegedly hit by a car outside a supermarket in County Durham this week. On Thursday (January 15), emergency services were called to reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car at the Asda Express garage on Stockton Road in Seaham at around 4.50pm.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man was declared dead at the scene.
While police launched a murder investigation following the incident, the victim has since been named as Daniel Ambler.
The 23-year-old’s heartbroken family have since paid tribute to their “kind-hearted son and brother”, reports Chronicle Live.
It read: “Daniel was a much-loved son and brother, and his death will leave a huge hole in our hearts forever.
“He had a great sense of humour, was popular among friends, and was able to bring laughter to any situation.
