It doesn’t have to cost a fortune to smell like your favourite designer perfume – as the discount shop proves
Home Bargains will be the place to go for fans wanting to smell like a designer perfume for less with the release of three new body lotions. These are tipped to smell expensive without breaking the bank.
Posting on Instagram today (April 9), the budget perfume company Designer Fragrances wrote: “NEW Luxurious Body Lotion. Launching this week in @Homebargains in three gorgeous scents. Delicate, demure and silky smooth on your skin. Who’s excited to try them?”
These come in three different versions that shoppers will be able to match up with the designers that inspired them. Tu es Belle is said to smell very similar to Lancome’s La Vie Est Belle whilst Xalien could pass for Mugler’s Alien Eau de Parfum.
Shoppers were divided over the appearance of Only Yours. Some were convinced that it is meant to remind fans of Paco Rabanne’s Olympea but others were suggesting other labels like Jimmy Choo and more.
One said: “Oh my god. I need to get down to @Homebargains ASAP!” Another added: “Need to find these!” A third wrote: “Sounds amazing. I bet they smell so good!” Someone else posted: “Omg! Can wait to get my hands on the Tu es Belle! I love the scent!”
Shoppers at Home Bargains will be no stranger to the brand, known for its range of home and beauty products that aim to give the impression you’ve doused yourself in a designer fragrance for less. The Designer Fragrances team have turned their inspired-by range of scents into house sprays, body washes, hand soaps and more.
Some were thrilled to spot last month (March) that a £3 body spray could fool people into thinking they were wearing the three-figure Maison Francis Kurkdjian scent Baccarat Rouge 540. This made it possible for shoppers to save themselves over £240.
Some of the Designer Fragrances products can be viewed on the Home Bargains website here. There are lots of different versions of the Xalien scent, which fans say is a great alternative to Mugler’s Alien Eau de Parfum.
The full range of products isn’t listed online, and they cannot be purchased here. Shoppers will have to head to their nearest Home Bargains shop to pick up the scent of their choice.
