The new item has been added to the garden collection
Home Bargains shoppers can snap up an affordable yet “stylish” lantern, available for under £10, that adds a “soft, inviting glow” to outdoor tables this spring and summer. The black ratten-effect surround of this solar-powered lamp brings “a touch of charm” to gardens.
The Firefly Black Circle Bulb Rope Lantern is available in stores and online for £6.99. The solar-powered light is described as “perfect for outdoor table tops” by the discount store and is a new addition to the 2026 garden collection.
A spokesperson for Home Bargains said: “Create a cosy atmosphere with the Firefly Black Circle Bulb Rope Lantern! This stylish lantern features a warm white LED that gives off a soft, inviting glow, perfect for any outdoor or indoor setting.
“Its unique black circle design and rope handle add a touch of charm to your space. Whether you’re lighting up a patio, garden, or cosy nook, this lantern adds just the right amount of warmth and style.”
There are plenty of new items being brought out by Home Bargains in the weeks leading up to warmer weather, when more Brits will be thinking about sprucing up their outdoor spaces. For more of the new garden items being sold by Home Bargains, including decor, lighting and furniture, click here.
Shoppers can find their nearest Home Bargains store using the online locator tool here. Alternatively, shoppers can order these lanterns online to be delivered for a small fee (unless ordering £100 of Saver Eligible items).
There are some really similar options available elsewhere, but more expensive than the Home Bargains option. The Range is selling a Solara Veil Outdoor Solar Lantern Short (£18), and Argos is offering shoppers a Solar Rattan Lantern with more natural wicker colours (also £18).
In other Home Bargains news, 560 stores will temporarily close to the public in the coming weeks. Bosses have confirmed the opening and closing schedule will change at the beginning of April due to Easter and the associated bank holidays.
It was reported that shutters will be pulled on 560 of the chain’s shops on Easter Sunday. However, 70 stores in Scotland will stay open as usual on that Sunday, April 5.
The chain employs around 28,000 staff all around the UK, and the closure is intended to give workers a rare day off during the Easter period. The shops will still be open on Good Friday and Easter Monday, however, the reduced hours will be from 9am to 7pm on both days.
