The kit is ‘a breeze to install’ and there are ‘no tools needed’

Open windows and doors tend to attract bugs on the hunt for food. But Home Bargains has a ‘simple’ solution that offers a ‘stylish and practical’ way to keep homes feeling cool while also keeping bugs outside where they belong.

The Jardin Magnetic Insect Door Screen costs £3.99 and clips to doors without needing any special tools. Having one of these installed gives open doors an extra layer of protection from any wandering bugs in the spring and summer months.

The discount store’s product description reads: “Breeze through summer with the Jardin Magnetic Insect Door Screen! This stylish screen features a handy magnetic closure and lace detail, making it a breeze to install, no tools needed, while keeping pesky bugs at bay.”

The set comes with a screen with a magnetic closure from top to bottom, quickly securing a space without zippers. It comes in a ‘sleek’ black style with a separate lace trim detail.

Photos on the Home Bargains website show that the £3.99 bundle includes a screen which measures 220cm tall, making it suitable for most standard doorframes. The tool-free installation appears to rely on pushpins that blend ‘seamlessly’ with the door screen’s design.

People wanting something similar can find these types of bug screens elsewhere in different styles and sizes to suit a variety of doors. B&M is selling a Magnetic Insect Door Screen kit for £5, B&Q has the Magic Door Screen Magnetic Mesh Net for £6.99, and there are various styles of the Magnetic Insect Door Screen on Amazon from £6.29.

But, Home Bargains appears to have one of the cheapest options with its £3.99 kit. These will be available in stores as well as online for home delivery.

Shoppers who spend more than £100 on eligible items will be entitled to free shipping, which is usually £3.95 for UK mainland deliveries. This is one of the many new and returning garden and outdoor items in Home Bargains’ online catalogue – including furniture, decor, lighting, toys and more.

In other Home Bargains news, shoppers might be interested in the latest beauty deals on offer. Some discounts may save shoppers hundreds of pounds, but not every bargain is available in stores.

An online exclusive, shoppers can get their hands on an ‘all-in-one’ £230 skincare set that has been slashed down in price to just £20. Bosses recently added the Wind Set as an online exclusive deal for shoppers.

Priced at £20, the seven-piece set would normally cost around £230 if bought separately at full price – making the 91% off deal much more appealing. The description of the bundle reads: “Meet your new glow-to routine in a box. The Whind Set is basically a mini Moroccan spa day, packed with everything you need for fresh, radiant skin from morning to night.”
