Kids who are proud of their fancy dress collection might appreciate this storage solution
Kids who have mountains of dressing-up clothes – or simply want a little more independence when picking their ‘normal’ outfits – might appreciate this new Home Bargains item. This small alternative to a full-sized wardrobe “fits neatly in any play area or bedroom”.
Describing the unit online, Home Bargains bosses wrote: “Bring a pop of colour and organisation to your little one’s room with The Kids Edit Clothes Rail. Designed to keep little clothes tidy, this adorable rail is perfect for hanging dress-up outfits, favourite everyday pieces or tomorrow’s school clothes.
“Its compact, open design fits neatly in any play area or bedroom,” bosses add. The smaller alternative to a wardrobe makes it easy for kids to see and choose what they want to wear, “helping them feel a little more independent”.
In terms of its overall look, the Home Bargains item has almost identical features to a much more expensive version found on Amazon. Despite being a lot more colourful, the Relaxdays Children’s Clothes Rail (selling for £57.90 at the time of writing) stands at the same 99cm tall as the Home Bargains unit.
It also has the same-sized storage compartment beneath where clothes hang from, ideal for shoes or baskets to hold other loose items like underwear and socks. People wanting to customise the Home Bargains unit to make it more colourful can easily do so with a little DIY painting.
The Amazon version has a few playful extra details, such as patterns on the legs of the unit to make them look like giant crayons. The Home Bargains unit, whilst plainer, could fit more easily alongside other furniture in bedrooms.
The Clothes Rail is available online for people to order and have delivered to their doors. It is not clear if the item will be available in physical stores across the UK.
In other Home Bargains news, store bosses have recently been putting out lots of new homeware that “look designer”, but stick to the discount prices the brand is known for. One popular option, which has been talked about online, includes a £7 ‘wiggle table’ that looks “almost identical” to a £32 version found elsewhere.
Available in two colours, the Wiggles Side Table has a “playful silhouette” and could be “perfect for adding a little character to your living room, bedroom, or reading nook”, according to the store description. And, for £7, most people cannot turn down an affordable deal like that.
And, for people starting to think about their gardens ahead of warmer weather, some can’t resist adding a “whimsical” touch to their green spaces. The Firefly Garden Gnome Solar Light doubles as a garden light and novelty decoration.
