With the warm weather here to stay, many will be spending more time outdoors both in the sunshine and shade – and that’s why shoppers are snapping up parasols for the months ahead. There’s one on Amazon that has been praised by shoppers as ‘great’ and ‘easy to put up’.
The VonHaus Parasol (2.7M) is currently available on Amazon for £42.99 in the colour ‘burnt orange’. It also comes in the colour dark green (£39.99), and it features a 2.7m canopy, which is ideal for gardens, patios, or decking.
There’s a hand crank for easy opening and closing and it’s both water and UV30+ resistant. The brand says the 180gsm polyester canopy is ‘built for the British weather’, and the parasol is fitted with air vents and ribs, making it suitable for breezy days.

The parasol features a robust 38mm steel pole, with a rust-resistant powder coating, and the umbrella can be adjusted up to 30°. The brand says shoppers should use a compatible parasol base or secure it with weights to keep the parasol stable.
Argos also has the Habitat 2.7m Water Repellent Garden Parasol in the colour cream for £75. It features a pulley system and has a water repellent fabric and a wooden pole, but shoppers will need to get a separate base to keep it stable.

Or there’s this Outsunny 3m Cantilever Parasol Banana Umbrella at Debenhams for £73.95, down from £205.99, in the colour green. It also comes in the colour red (£68.85, down from £231.99), and it features a crank tilt mechanism and water-resistant polyester fabric.
The VonHaus Parasol (2.7M) has been rated an overall average score of 4.6 out of five. One shopper said: “A great umbrella, not too big, sturdy and easy to put up.”
A second person said: “Fabric feels and looks good quality. Comes with a pole that fits perfectly and the spokes look very robust, so too does the crank handle. Haven’t, as yet, put outside in garden but impressed with the size and quality and value for money.”
