With ‘glazed lips’ being all the rage we took a look at some new releases
Glazed lips are having a big moment this year and here at the Mirror we can’t get enough. If you love a glossy finish but don’t like that sticky feeling we used to see a lot then you’re in luck.
Lip products seem to be moving into the hybrid space. They’re mixing nourishing ingredients to deeply hydrate the sensitive skin like a balm would with pigment and that finish that’s so sought after.
The result is that we’re spoilt for choice on what to wear, we took a look at some of our favourite new releases.

Laneige Glaze Craze Tinted Lip Serum – £19
Laneige have jumped on the glazed pout trend with their delicious new tinted lip serum. Using Argan ceramide and pomegranate seed oil this product nourishes your lips deeply while also delivering a glossy finish. It comes in four shades inspired by tasty treats: Cinnamon Sugar, Chocolate Frosting, Sugar Glaze, and Peach Glaze.
It’s pulled in an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 on SpaceNK with one shopper saying: “Amazing! I have two shades, peach and cinnamon and they are incredible. So moisturising, they give the perfect tint to your lips and are so glossy. I love the doughnut shaped applicator, it made it so easy to apply and I also felt like I didn’t need lip liner to get a good shape even though I have small lips. Will definitely be buying more.”
Not everyone loves it though, one shopper said: “I live Laneige lip balms for the aesthetic. I like the cinnamon sugar one shade a lot. It is perfect for my tan skin. However, it dries out my lips a lot and I feel like I have to constantly reapply it. This can be quite frustrating as I want something that lasts quite long. Also I’ve noticed it gives me dead skin. Which is not great to experience.”
It can be a good idea to buff dry lips with a lip scrub to get the model like finish, we love the Dr. PAWPAW Scrub which is currently 25% off on LookFantastic.
Give Me Cosmetics Glazed Lip Oil – £11
If you’d rather more shade variety then Give Me Cosmetics Glazed Lip Oil could be a good option. It comes in 12 shades, one of them is clear and the rest are nudes, pinks and reds. They’re not overly pigmented which makes them a great option if you’re looking for something more subtle.
Jojoba oil is used to intensely hydrate the lips while delivering the glossy finish that has shoppers raving over them – including our very own Jada Jones who swears by Mocha Motive. It’s got a perfect five-star rating on the Give Me Cosmetics website with one shopper saying: “This lip oil is amazing! It’s super hydrating, leaving my lips soft and glossy without feeling too sticky. Smells UNREAL! Definitely a new favourite!”
It is worth noting if you’re looking for a strong pigment this might not be your best fit.
Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Heat Lavender Savage – £21
Fenty Beauty’s Gloss Bomb Heat formula has been raved about since it first launched in 2022. The plumping formula is powered by ginger root oil and capsicum. The latest addition to the range is the shade Lavender Savage which gives a sheer wash of lavender and a wet-look finish for glossy lips.
The pale purple is a universal shade designer to compliment all skin tones and the formula has rave reviews. One thrilled shopper said: “This is my favourite lip gloss OF ALL TIME!!! I got one in sophomore year of high school and use it all the time and there’s still so much use left. Love it so much I got another one so I can keep one in my purse to go out and one in my vanity while I’m getting ready.”
One shopper was surprised by the tingling sensation and said: “I love the colour, shine and smell but don’t like that it burns. Thought it was a regular lip gloss!”
Rodial Original Lip Oil with Collagen – £29
Rodial is known for luxurious products that are fit for a princess and their collagen lip oil is no different. It comes in four shades: Original Pink, Sugar Coral, Cherry and Wild Plum. Their lip oil is made up of a antioxidant-rich blend of cherry, macadamia, hibiscus, jojoba and sweet almond oils which give it a delightful smell while also hydrating lips.
When Jada Jones tried it she said: “There was a delicious smell, maybe from the sweet almond oil, that I was instantly a huge fan of. I didn’t notice a big difference to the size of my lips but perhaps that’s something I’ll notice more over time. What I do know is it’s now my go-to lip product. It’s not as sticky as a traditional gloss but I do find that if my hair blows into my face while I’m wearing it then a few strands might stick.”
