Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were all smiles at a rare joint event to celebrate a work project but one expert has revealed a telling shift in their dynamic
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry rarely appear on joint outings these days, but this month has marked a major change.
The couple recently attended this year’s Sundance Film Festival for the premiere of Girls Scouts documentary Cookie Queens. Harry and Meghan served as executive producers of the film through their media company, Archewell Productions, cheerily posed for photos with director Alysa Nahmias beforehand.
And while it was all smiles on the red carpet, it appears the couple are going through a shift in their relationship, according to one expert. Body language pro Judi James noted a ‘missed beat’ look to their body language, “as though Meghan and Harry are rebranding or just not quite in kilter at this event”.

Judi told the Daily Express US that the Duchess in particular appears tense and not as in control as she usually is. “Meghan’s smile suggests some tension or hints that she may not have felt quite as pitch-perfect in control of the posing. Her teeth look edge-to-edge, and her smile doesn’t quite make it to the eyes,” she noted.
“Her left hand placement is not in keeping with her current ‘catwalk chic’ look, either pushed into her pocket or dangling awkwardly by the thumb.” Harry, on the other hand, “actually looks a little more relaxed here, although his closed lip, tempered smile doesn’t mirror his wife’s expression”.
Cookie Queen follows four tenacious girls as they strive to be a top-selling “Cookie Queen” while navigating the high-pressure, $800 million world of Girl Scout cookie season. Meghan took to the stage at the event to give a speech in which she said she and her husband feel “proud and privileged” to be supporting the new documentary.
“This film, yes, is probably the cutest at the festival,” she said. “But I’m also going to go out on a limb and say it is one of the most powerful and meaningful depictions of something that is an American tradition and rooted in nostalgia.”
