Georgia Toffolo has been raving about a £40 blowdry brush she says has ‘Dyson literally quaking’ because of how effective it is whilst still being ultra affordable
If you’ve been in the market for a quick-styling blowdry brush for sometime now, you may have been debating whether or not to splurge on a Dyson Airwrap. And whilst the Dyson has become just about every beauty lover’s favourite hair tool, Georgia Toffolo might have found a great alternative if you don’t want to break the bank.
The former Made in Chelsea star shared her recent find, the Wavytalk Blowout Boost Ionic Round Heated Hot Brush, on Instagram to see how it compared to Dyson’s Airwrap I.D. Multi-Styler. Although Dyson’s Airwrap is currently on sale for £349.99 down from £479.99 at Sephora, it’s still quite the pricey splurge, which is one of the biggest pulls of the Hot Brush.

The Wavytalk Blowout Boost Heated Hot Brush is usually priced at £54.99, but it’s now on sale for £39.99 making it just a fraction of the price of the Dyson. And it seems Toff was suitably impressed with how the Wavytalk hot brush compared, saying: “Dyson is literally quaking” after giving it a try.
During her Instagram video, Toff showed how easy and effective it is to use. She’d dried her hair to about 90% with a hairdryer, before using the Hot Brush to smooth the ends and create an effortless bouncy blowout.
Toff also said: “In all honesty, I didn’t have high hopes. As a loyal Dyson girl, part of me didn’t want this to be good… which makes this slightly awkward. It’s quick, it’s easy, and if I can use it then anyone can lol. The Amazon hot brush was £39.99. The Dyson was £500. Soooo If you’re looking for an easy, affordable alternative, this is the one…”
In her comments section, Toff answered some additional questions about the Wavytalk Blowout Boost Heated Hot Brush with one asking: “How long did the style last outside?” to which Toff replied: “Genuinely this lasted all day”. Another said: “Isn’t this more damaging than the Dyson though?” with Toff answering: “Slightly but it is only used on the ends of the hair!”
The Wavytalk Blowout Boost brush is designed with negative ions which help to seal in the hair cuticle, reduce frizz and enhance shine, and it has five different temperature settings to try and limit the amount of damage caused by heat on your hair. It recommends you use 150°C/165°C for thin or damaged hair, 180°C for normal hair and 200°C/215°C for thick or coarse hair.
If damage is a real concern, you could also swap to the BondiBoost Infrared Bounce Brush which is currently £84 down from £105. The infrared technology helps limit damage whilst still allowing you to create long-lasting styles on your hair.
If you still want a classic air styler but want to spend a little less, or just want to be able to mix and match what tools you have, the Shark FlexStyle Build Your Own Air Styling & Hair Drying System is perfect. Currently £199.99 down from £269.99, it lets you pick which tools and attachments you want whilst still giving you the air styling option.
