Ex-River City star Iain Robertson was last month found guilty of raping a woman and sexual assaulting multiple others.
Disgraced BBC star Iain Robertson has been jailed for nine years after being convicted of raping one woman and assaulting others.
The former River City actor was found guilty last month of a total of five offences against three women between 2004 and 2019.
Robertson was convicted of raping of his victims between 2018 and 2019, and also of sexually assaulting her on a separate occasion.
At Edinburgh High Court on Thursday judge Lady Drummond sentenced the 45-year-old to nine years in prison, plus an additional three-year supervision period.
He was also added to the sex offenders’ register indefinitely, and made subject to indefinite non-harassment orders.
Robertson, who was attending via videolink from prison dressed in a blue top, showed no reaction as the sentence was handed down.
