The UK’s favourite noodle bar is opening the doors to its new store in South Yorkshire’s shopping centre Meadowhall at 11am on October 17, with a huge opening day event

Popular UK noodle bar Chopstix is set to open a brand new branch in a UK city this Friday.

The grand opening at Meadowhall shopping centre, Sheffield, on October 17 will be marked with a massive event, including a giveaway of 1,000 free vegetable spring rolls and a complimentary medium box with two toppings for the first 100 customers.

This marks Chopstix’s first venture into Meadowhall, creating 10 new job opportunities in South Yorkshire. This latest addition in Meadowhall is the twelfth new store for Chopstix in 2025, following successful launches in Leeds, Huddersfield, Hull and the unveiling of the revamped Chopstix 3.0 style in Bridgend.

With over 115 branches dotted across the UK, Chopstix has quickly become one of the nation’s favourite quick service restaurants, boasting a presence in nearly every major city and town. Its menu, centred around Asian flavours, has won over the British public.

In addition to takeaway classics like Sweet & Sour Chicken and Salt ‘N’ Pepper Chicken, Chopstix offers a variety of fresh flavours. These include the spicy Firecracker Chicken with a fiery garlic and chilli seasoning, and crowd favourites such as Chicken Katsu Curry and its signature Caramel Drizzle Chicken, reports the Express.

The noodle bar’s popular dishes are also available to order through Chopstix Delivery and Click & Collect via the website or Chopstix app, as well as from delivery platforms including UberEats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.

Customers can sign up to get an email voucher for one of 1,000 free portions of Chopstix’s spring rolls online and the voucher will be valid from October 17 until October 23, 2025, at Chopstix Sheffield Meadowhall.

Rob Burns, Marketing Director for Chopstix, said: “Sheffield’s Meadowhall Shopping Centre is one of the most exciting shopping and destinations in South Yorkshire and we’re so thrilled to be bringing some big, bold flavours for the thousands of eager flavour cravers.”

“Everywhere we open a new store, we’re always thrilled with the response; so many people are looking for a quick, tasty and affordable option for lunch and on-the-go food that can scratch the itch for those fresh flavours that you get with our food. It’s a really exciting time for our business as a whole, and we’re excited to welcome our local fans to the store when we open our doors.”

Darren Pearce, centre director at Meadowhall added: “We’re always looking to bring new and exciting dining experiences to Meadowhall, and Chopstix is a great addition. Their fresh approach to quick, tasty food makes them a perfect fit for our line-up of family-friendly dining options.”
