Here’s exactly how long shoppers have left to place orders before Christmas Day
Not to alarm anyone, but we have just one week until Christmas Day. Meaning there’s just six days left to get those last-minute presents for loved ones and Secret Santas.
And for those of us who thrive in the eleventh hour, but don’t particularly fancy battling through town at this time of year, we’re in luck. Many high street shops are still offering delivery on gifts before Christmas – but there’s a slight caveat.
To guarantee delivery before December 25, shoppers must place their orders before a specific date and time to qualify for next-day or standard delivery. Thankfully, for shoppers entering panic mode, we’ve done the hard work for them.
Below, we’ve outlined the key dates and times shoppers need to know for last chance delivery before Christmas. Saying that, it’s important to note that these dates are subject to courier capacity and any unexpected delays. So it’s best to order sooner rather than later.
Nobody’s Child
For keen fashion fans, Nobody’s Child is always a safe bet. Loved by Louise Thompson, Vicky Pattison, Amelia Windsor and more, the eco-conscious brand is giving shoppers until December 19 to get its garments in time for Christmas. This includes items both in the 40% off winter sale – like this Beige Wool Blend Roll Neck Jumper, now £59 from £98.
Shoppers must select next-day delivery when ordering on December 19 to be eligible. There is also a time cut-off of 7:30 pm, so ensure orders are in before then.
M&S
With a little more time to bag a treat for the big day, Marks & Spencer is giving its shoppers until December 23 to place their orders for next-day delivery. This applies to M&S’s own-brand fashion, beauty, and home items, as well as flowers. Shoppers can also use the shop’s click-and-collect service until December 23. For those who want standard delivery, place the order by December 20 to receive it before Christmas.
Wanting a hamper? The cut-off date is December 22 for Nominated Day Delivery. Meanwhile, for the other brands, Marks and Spencer stocks, the last date to order for it to arrive in time for Christmas ranges. Find out more here.
River Island
Similar to Marks and Spencer, River Island offers a selection of delivery options, including next-day standard delivery and click-and-collect. For standard delivery, shoppers have until midnight on December 20. Although for those who don’t want to risk it, next-day delivery ends at midnight on December 22.
Meanwhile, fans of click and collect have just one day as its cut-off is midnight on December 19. Perfect for items on sale and likely to sell out quickly – such as the Brown Leopard Print Faux Fur Jacket, now £62 from £79, or the Silver Sequin Clutch Bag, now £14 from £36.
LookFantastic
Beauty fans and skincare buffs can get their fix by placing any LookFantastic orders on or before midnight on December 20 for standard delivery. Otherwise, for next-day delivery, shoppers will need to place their order by midnight on December 22.
This means the likes of makeup – such as this MAC Totally Teddy Lip Kit – perfume (the Armani Si Passione Eau de Parfum set is on sale for £86.70 from £102), skincare sets can be bought, wrapped and ready in just a few days.
Abbott Lyon
Last-minute shoppers after something seriously special can still get a necklace, bracelet, ring or earrings for their loved ones for Christmas morning, as Abbott Lyon’s festive delivery cut-off is December 22. The brand has also lent a helping hand specifying the products that are available for guaranteed delivery before December 25, too – take a peek here.
Products such as the popular White Quartz Heart Huggie Earrings, £59, and Stacey Solomon’s Belgravia 30 Zodiac Watch, £169, are included in this list.
Dr Martens
Dr Martens fans will be pleased to know there’s still time to get a new pair of boots before the December 25, as the brand’s Christmas cut-off dates are December 19 by 5pm for standard delivery and December 22 by 5pm for next-day delivery. Shoppers who fall outside of these perimeters, the brand has warned that any Next Day Delivery orders placed on the 23rd will be expected to arrive on the 27th.
There’s a nifty trick for anyone located near a Dr Martens store who missed the cut-off date for Christmas delivery, though. Shoppers can order using Click & Collect. The brand’s Click & Collect is available in selected stores; all that’s needed is to place the order online, choose a nearby store, and pick it up when it’s convenient.
It’s likely that outlet items may not qualify for click and collect, as they may be online exclusives, such as the Zebzag Suede Casual Slingback Platform Mules, down from £110 to £77, or the Jetta Hi Max Buttero Leather Platform Boots, down from £240 to £ 120.
Boden
Known for its elegant prints, quality fabrics and timeless designs, Boden is a popular choice for gifting. The retailer is offering next-day delivery on orders placed by December 21 at 5 pm. It’s also worth noting that Boden is currently running a massive 50% off sale, making it a strong option not just for Christmas presents, but also for anyone planning for a New Year’s Eve outfit.
For instance, the Tilda Velvet Midi Dress has just been reduced from £119 to £71.40, saving shoppers £47.60. It’s precisely the kind of throw-on-and-feel-amazing piece that works for everything from cocktails to dancing into the early hours.

Next is a true one-stop shop for fashion, beauty and homeware, making it a go-to for ticking off multiple gifts in one order. Thankfully, shoppers still have a bit of breathing room.
For home delivery, the last chance to order is Monday, December 22, by 8 pm, while click & collect online orders can be placed until December 22 at 11 pm for collection in store on Tuesday, December 23. There’s also a later option: the final deadline is December 24 at 2 pm for same-day store collection – just be sure to check individual store closing times.
Cult Beauty
Perfect for anyone still hunting down beauty gift sets, skincare heroes or stocking fillers, Cult Beauty is a lifesaver for last-minute shoppers. Orders need to be placed by December 22 to qualify for next-day delivery, making it ideal for fans who has left beauty buys until the eleventh hour.
