The bride posted a video showing her hair all ready in curlers and and a hair net, and skin-perfecting eye masks on her face.
Venezuela Fury, daughter of Tyson and Paris Fury, got married on Saturday in a lavish ceremony on the Isle of Man, with all her family and friends. She wore a lace-embellished fishtail dress with separate lace sleeve, and her nails were epic, inch-long, rose-studded artworks. But over here on the beauty desk, we never see a bride without wondering what prep went into the look beforehand.
Luckily for us, Venezuela gave a hint at it, when she posted a video about waking up on her wedding morning. Along with her all-white silky PJs, the bride was sporting under-eye masks, and we’re pretty sure they are ones we’ve seen before on a host of A-list celebrities.
This beauty bundle of summer glow essentials is worth £405 but you can buy it for £79.99
Celebrity-endorsed eye masks
Although we don’t have confirmation of the exact brand of eye mask Venezuela is wearing, we’re almost certain they are the 111Skin Cryo Depuffing Eye Masks, which already have an impressive celebrity following. They’ve been connected to Victoria Beckham, Dua Lipa, Bella Hadid and Coleen Rooney, and we’re pretty sure we’ve even seen Harry Styles sporting a pair.
Not just any eye mask, they contain a ‘potent peptide complex’ (designed to help strengthen the skin for lasting resilience), as well as seaweed to reduce inflammation and vitamin E to support cell function. They feel cool when you first apply them and promise reduced puffiness and dark circles in just 20 minutes, for ‘smoother, alert-looking eyes’.
Customers say they are ‘completely transformative’ and ‘an absolute essential’, the downside is that they will set you back £85 for a pack of four pairs (which works out at just over £21 per treatment) – hefty, but worth it for pre-wedding de-puffing.
It’s worth noting that Venezuela is a fresh-faced 16 years old, so those of us the other side of 40 might be wondering what skin concerns she could possibly be battling that require an £85 eye mask before she walked down the aisle. But wedding mornings are hardly normal days, even for someone with naturally youthful skin. Between the early start, excitement, cameras and hours in the makeup chair, it’s easy to see why brides lean on cooling eye masks for an instant fresh-faced effect. And in the age of social media, getting-ready beauty rituals have become almost as important as the dress itself.
