Former Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm after stepping off a plane in the UK recently.
Ibe, 30, was arrested at Luton Airport on January 30 after flying back from Bulgaria, where he now plays for Lokomotiv Sofia.
A Met spokesperson told The Sun: “Jordon Ibe has been charged with actual bodily harm. The charge relates to an assault alleged to have taken place on Sunday December 14, 2025.
“He was arrested at Luton Airport on Friday January 30 and taken into custody.”
The alleged offence is said to have taken place in December. The former England under-21 international has been granted bail and is due to appear at Croydon magistrates’ court on March 6.

Ibe left Sittingbourne FC, in the eighth tier of English football, to join Bulgarian top-flight team Lokomotiv Sofia in November.
The winger made his name at Liverpool, where he played between 2012 and 2016, before joining Bournemouth for a club-record fee of £15million.
He is now playing for the 11th club of his career, having previously dropped into non-league following a return from Turkey, where he played for Adanaspor.
Ibe, who made 58 appearances for Liverpool and scored four goals, signed a two-year contract with Lokomotiv Sofia in December.
At the time, the Bulgarian side said in a statement: “After a few difficult seasons, Jordan is ready to revive his career, and we all believe that this will happen at Lokomotiv. The management of Lokomotiv wishes Jordon Ibe much health, happiness and success with the red and black jersey.”
