There’s nothing that can pull your wardrobe together quicker than a great jacket, especially one that tows the line perfectly between smart and casual. And if you’re looking for some inspiration, Emma Louise Connolly has found a great option from high street favourite M&S.
The model showed how she styled it on Instagram calling it: “The M&S jacket that makes every outfit look expensive” and adding that it was: “A very good jacket!!” The blazer that she’s raving about is the Tailored Cinched Waist Jacket which has just landed on the website, and you can pick it up for £60.

The Tailored Cinched Waist Jacket is available in sizes six to 24, although the size six has already sold out proving that it’s a big hit with shoppers. It balances sophisticated and casual perfectly thanks to its tailored silhouette, which cinches in at the waist to help accentuate your figure.
It has a collared neckline which also adds to the chic, smart feel of the jacket, but it’s made from fabric that has a little bit of stretch in it which makes it comfortable enough to wear all day. It buttons up the front so can be worn fully closed in lieu of a shirt or blouse, and looks great when fastened to the waist to let it flare out over your hips.
It can also be left open for a more laid back, layered look and worn over a blouse or jumper. Emma styled her Tailored Cinched Waist Jacket with a pair of tailored wide leg trousers for a chic office-ready look, but you could just as easily style it with a pair of jeans for an easy going feel.
Emma’s followers were also a big fan of the Tailored Cinched Waist Jacket, with one saying: “Yessss added to basket!” and another added: “You sold this so well! I’ve never ran so fast via my fingers on a screen to buy an item!”

But whilst the M&S Tailored Cinched Waist Jacket might be a new launch, it does already have some great reviews from shoppers. One said: “This is a really classy jacket and the cinched waist finishes it off beautifully. The quality is great and it looks lovely on. A jacket that can be dressed up or down.”

The sizing was the main issue some shoppers faced, with the Tailored Cinched Waist Jacket though, with one saying: “Lovely fabric and style, but had to return as despite ordering my usual size 12 the fit is extremely small.”
And another writing: “Lovely jacket, very smart, however I had to have a larger size to get the best fit. I am a size 12 but the 14 was a better fit.”
