People have said the ‘cosy’ bargain item is ‘great for cold weather’
People are snapping up a discounted Dunelm fleece that is “so warm” in winter weather that shoppers are barely taking it off. The “super soft” material has been getting rave reviews from fans of the homeware store who are buying every colour option.
The Ladies’ Half Zip Fleece Jumper was originally £22, but has been reduced to £11 in an online clearance sale. Shoppers have a choice of three colours (black, cream and olive green) in sizes ranging from an eight to 18.
Describing the zip-up fleece online, Dunelm wrote: “During chillier weather with this super soft fleece jumper. With a half-zip detail and handy pockets, this jumper is sure to become a firm favourite in your loungewear collection. Available in a range of colours and sizes, it’s the perfect companion for relaxed lounging.”
With the weather in the UK set to remain cool, with some areas having a risk of snow, people may still get use out of this warming item. There are similar bargains elsewhere, such as Next’s Cream Borg Half Zip Fleece (£28, various styles available) or this Threadbare Half Zip Borg Fleece (sold via ASOS, £36).
But lots of Dunelm shoppers have been raving about the quality of its affordable jumper. In the reviews, one said: “Loved this jumper. I call it my cuddly teddy bear, as it is so warm, great for cold weather.”
Another put: “Beautiful, warm, soft jumper. Perfect fit great quality.” Someone else wrote: “Super shape and very warm, looks smart but casual. Washes well.”
A fourth person shared: “Brilliant jumper, I have hardly had it off since I got it. I sometimes don’t even need to wear a coat!”
And, one more said: “Was looking for a new fleece and could not believe these were half price! They are a great length and the higher neckline really keeps you warm. So good I went back and bought a second one!”
Despite the majority of reviews being positive, a few had issues. One shopper claimed: “Wanted to love this, but the fit was very small, so returned.” Someone else said: “Rather long for a petite person but very warm. Only negative is the fluff comes off, and particularly shows with black trousers. Perhaps it will improve with a wash.”
Despite this, the majority of reviewers awarded it a glowing five stars, with one more sharing: “Bought for my 90 year old mum who suffers continuously from the cold. She absolutely loves it, and it keeps her really snug and warm. Ordered one for myself too.”
One more put: “Perfect for the winter season, outside or at home, super warm and comfortable with the pockets. I love it in white.”
