A man was taken to hospital after being bitten by a dog at the Hounds Hill Centre in Blackpool on Saturday December 13, with police seizing the animal as enquiries continue
A man has been rushed to hospital after being attacked by a dog near a UK shopping centrE just days before Christmas.
The dog, which police have not given any further details on, has been confiscated following reports of an attack in Blackpool. Officers were calledto Houndshill Centre in Blackpool at approximately 12.56pm on Saturday December 13, after receiving reports that a man had been attacked by a dog near the shopping center.
Upon arrival officers discovered a man suffering a considerable facial wound following the dog attack and he was rushed to hospital for furter treatment. Police officers at the scene noted that his condition was not deemed to be life-threatening, but no further update on the man’s condition has been given.

The animal has subsequently been confiscated as investigations proceed and anyone with information or footage is being encouraged to come forward, reports Lancs Live.
Lancashire Constabulary stated: “We were called to the Hounds Hill Centre in Blackpool at 12.56pm on Saturday (13th December) following reports of an assault.
“It was reported that a man had been bitten by a dog and had suffered a significant facial injury. He was taken to hospital, though his condition was not described as life-threatening. The dog has been seized while our enquiries continue.”
