John Guy, 49, Conor Quinn, 31, and Laura Hoy, 23, tragically died in a horrific crash on the weekend. A death notice has given the public an insight into John Guy’s family life
A “dearly beloved” dad-of-six has been named as one of three people who were tragically killed in a crash.
John Guy, 49, of Keady, Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland, lost his life in a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Saturday. Father-of-four Conor Quinn, 31 from Coalisland, was also pronounced dead after the crash. His sister took to social media, calling him a “cherished father, brother and son”. Laura Hoy, 23, from Cookstown, also died following the collision.
Mr Guy was honoured in a death notice, which reflected on his family life. The notice, as seen on FuneralTimes.com, stated: “John RIP. Dearly beloved daddy to Troy, Maddie, Carla, Tiana, Brogan and Morgan. Cherished son of Harry and Caroline and loving brother to Regina, Aisling and Christopher.”

Four other people were injured at the scene, reports Dublin Live. SDLP Armagh Councillor Thomas O’Hanlon issued a statement following the tragedy. He said: “This is a devastating tragedy for everyone involved. Three families and their wider communities have been plunged into deep grief. There are truly no words that can ease such pain, other than to offer our thoughts and prayers at this incredibly difficult time.
“Our thoughts and prayers are also with the first responders from all emergency services who attended the scene and were faced with such harrowing circumstances. May God protect and comfort all those affected by this tragedy.”
A press conference was held on Sunday. Assistant Chief Constable, Davy Beck said: “At around 10.20pm, Police received a report of a three-vehicle collision involving a red BMW, a grey Volkswagen and a white Audi. Officers attended, along with colleagues from other emergency services, however, two men, aged 31 and 48, and a woman, aged 23, were sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. Four other people sustained injuries, three of whom are receiving medical treatment.
“Enquires are continuing and anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed the incident or who has dashcam footage or any other information, should contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1654 – 21/02/26.”
