Danny Cipriani’s life now after Kelly Brook relationship and Katie Price’s ‘Chipolata’ jibe

Former England rugby star Danny Cipriani swapped the pitch for the front pages of magazines thanks to a string of whirlwind romances with various A-list celebrities

Danny Cipriani swapped the blistering cold of England for Los Angeles after retiring from rugby in 2024. His career in the sport was full of ups and downs, much like his love life, and the former England international often found himself the subject of many woman’s affections.

Cipriani made 16 appearances for his country between 2008 and 2018 and played for the likes of Bath, Gloucester and Sale Sharks. The talented fly-half announced his departure from rugby in January last year at the age of 36.

The ex-Wasps star isn’t just known for his skills on the pitch, however, and spent his time away from rugby dating some of the biggest A-listers.

His first public relationship began in 2007 with Cheeky Girl Monica Irimia, but this ended shortly after due to cheating rumours with model Larissa Summers.

Speaking to the Daily Star after the break-up, Monica said: “He doesn’t want a steady relationship. He just wants – dot dot dot – let’s put it that way!”

Cipriani’s most high-profile relationship – and one of his longest – was with model and actress Kelly Brook, who he got involved with in the same year that he broke up with Irimia.

It was speculated that Brook ended the relationship in 2010 after she caught him giving his number to a stripper in Las Vegas. Speaking about the troublesome time she had with Cipriani, the now-45-year-old told Weekend magazine in 2016: “He is drama, drama, drama.

“If it’s not women, it’s getting arrested. The guy’s a car crash.”

Cipriani also opened up about the relationship, telling The Sun in 2015: “After that, I had depression for nine months. It’s cool as I’ve now learnt everyone’s got their family issues, whatever they might be.

“It wasn’t a great time and I had to see somebody to get help. It’s part of growing up, and going through that in the spotlight is tough.”

The ex-rugby star went on to date former Disney star Lindsay Lohan after breaking up with Brook. However, this budding romance ended after a few dates, with Cipriani stating at the time: “I met Lindsay in LA and we have been friends for a long time.

“She’s obviously been through a lot of bad things but she’s a really sweet girl.”

Despite this long list of A-list stars, it was Cipriani’s quick fling with Katie Price that landed him in the biggest bother. The pair got together in 2011 and broke up that same year after the model claimed he cheated on her.

Price told all in her 2013 autobiography Love, Lipstick and Lies, where she poked fun at Cipriani’s intimate areas. She wrote: “In my experience, he was a bit – erm – lean in the most obvious departments.

“That’s why I nicknamed him Danny Chipolata. He can no longer hit the right spots on the rugby field and he certainly can’t find them on a woman.”

Responding to this accusation not long after, the ex-Bath star said: “I have no ill feeling towards that and it’s just how it is. At the time, it was frustrating.”

Other romantic partners in Cipriani’s life include Lara Bingle, Jasmine Waltz, Kirsty Gallacher and his first wife, Victoria Rose. The pair met in 2020 and were engaged just a year later, tying the knot in 2021.

However, they separated in 2023 and officially divorced last year. Most recently, Cipriani dated 90210 actress AnnaLynne McCord, but broke up earlier this year.
