Kaisen Kinsella, 27, left with serious injuries as he enjoyed a meal out with his family with Essex Police stating a teenager had been arrested in connection with the incident
A dad who took his family out for a pub dinner ended up in hospital with a bleed on the brain after a brutal attack.
Kaisen Kinsella, 27, had been enjoying a meal with his partner, Georgy Annaise, and their children, Sylvie Star, 4, and 7-month-old Sully Moon, when he suffered numerous injuries during an alleged unprovoked attack at the Dog and Partridge pub in North Stifford, Essex, on August 22. Following the alleged incident, it was later found Kaisen suffered a brain bleed and the dad would need plastic surgery to reconstruct his nose after his teeth were dislodged.
Essex Police today told The Mirror a 17-year-old boy was arrested on August 28 and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm as well as grievous bodily harm. The teen has been bailed until November 13.
Police have since launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses following an attack at the pub . Georgy previously told The Mirror: “I never imagined a relaxed evening out with friends and family would turn into a nightmare that has completely upended our lives…We’re still in shock, and I can’t help but wonder what has happened to humanity?”
Self-employed thermal insulator Kaisen was praised as a gentle giant by his partner as well as her best friend and an incredible father to their young children.
Speaking from his hospital bed, she added: “He’s always the first to help anyone, and we wouldn’t wish what happened to him on anyone. While his physical injuries will heal with time and surgery, the emotional scars will take much longer. This is just the beginning of a long road to recovery for him and for all of us.
“Our daughter is supposed to start school next week. Instead of preparing her uniform and getting her excited for this new chapter, we’re now focused on hospital visits and emotional healing. I honestly don’t know how she’ll cope but I have to stay strong for my family and for our children, who witnessed this horrific attack.”
A GoFundMe page has been organised by friend Charlie Meggs following the attack in a bid to assist Kaisen’s family. As of Tuesday morning, the campaign has raised £5,385 out of a £5,000 target.
Charlie said in the page: “Instead of simply enjoying time together, his loved ones are now facing hospital visits, emotional stress, and the uncertainty of what comes next. Kaisen has always been a kind, hardworking, and loving person who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. Now, he is the one who needs our help.
“The road to recovery will be long and difficult. Along with the physical healing, there will be time away from work and support for his family as they navigate this painful chapter.”
