If you’ve been looking for a new moisturiser to add to your skincare routine, COSRX’s cult favourite Snail Mucin cream has been reduced to under £20 on Amazon
It’s likely you’ve seen the ingredient ‘snail mucin’ when scrolling on TikTok and Instagram. If so, and you’re unsure about trying it out, we’re here to let you know that it’s, in fact, not as gross as it sounds. It can actually help provide deep hydration, improve skin texture and slow signs of anti-ageing.
COSRX is a brand that produces many snail mucin-focused products. And their Advanced Snail 92 All-in-one Cream is currently on sale for £16.75, down from its usual £23.99.
The cream is infused with 92% Snail Mucin, which helps to repair and build the skin’s moisture barrier, resulting in a plumper, hydrated complexion.
The consistency is a lightweight, gel-like cream that can soothe irritated skin, making the product perfect for those with sensitive skin, rosacea or any other problematic areas.

The ingredient snail mucin does make it seem like the product is going to have a sticky residue, however, that is not the case at all with many of its glowing 5-star reviews, praising the texture and formula. One shopper wrote, “This COSRX Snail Cream is a total game-changer! My skin tends to be on the dry and sensitive side, especially with the stress of assignments and the winter cold here in the UK. This cream is super hydrating without being greasy and actually leaves my skin feeling soft and healthy”.
Another customer raved about the improvement the product made to their skin’s problematic areas, writing: “From the first application, I could feel the magic happening. My skin texture improved dramatically, going from “meh” to “marvellous” in just a few days. It’s like my face got a VIP pass to the smooth skin club.”
One criticism to note however is that due to the gel-like texture, this product works great for those with oilier skin, however, those with very dry skin have complained it is not quite thick enough for them. One person wrote, “I believe if you have oily to normal skin it’s a great purchase – the texture and absorption is really nice, has no smell. If you have dry/sensitive skin however, it’s a coin toss – simply depending on how dry and how sensitive it is”.
If the Snail Mucin isn’t really for you, Paula’s Choice has recently launched its new Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturiser, currently £39.20 at SpaceNK. Clinique’s Moisture Surge 100 Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator, currently £33.60, is another great alternative that has a similar gel-like consistency to the COSRX cream.
