The supermarket is launching an ‘ergonomic’ cleaning gadget for homeware shoppers
When it comes to household chores, mopping the floors is one of the least popular jobs. Thankfully, Lidl is selling an £8 cleaning gadget that it says could make the task that much easier. The supermarket is selling an ‘ergonomic’ product designed for ‘easy floor cleaning’.
From this weekend, shoppers can buy the new W5 Spray Mop for £7.99. Lidl says the mop is ‘ideal for tiles and all smooth floors,’ and it is available in stores from Sunday (July 26) while stock lasts. The set comes with a three-year warranty.
Showcasing the new mop on its website, Lidl told shoppers: “Ideal for tiles and all smooth floors. With a detergent spray function – easy floor cleaning without a bucket,
“Ergonomic handle with an integrated lever for spraying detergent with ease. Removable tank for easy use. Flexible mop plate. Includes two mop covers.”
Spray mops are often popular among homeowners who prefer not to carry a heavy bucket around the home while cleaning. Many high street retailers sell spray mops at various prices.
For example, Home Bargains sells a £7.99 Power Action Microfibre Spray Mop. The product description said: “Microfibre spray mop with detachable spray bottle. Add your favourite cleaning solution, spray across the floor as you clean.”
The description continued: “Mopping can often feel like you’re just pushing the dirt around instead of wiping it away. Now with this Microfibre Spray Mop from Power Action, it’s quicker, more effective and easier than ever to remove heavy-duty dirt, grease and grime from your floors.
