Fans of Home Bargains will be pleased to know that you can bag a ‘modern and chic’ cheap faux fur rug for just £7.99

Home Bargains is stocking a piece of homeware that not only appears ‘modern and chic’ but could also be easily mistaken at first glance for a similar version available for more money at B&Q. UK homeowners keen to refresh their living rooms or bedrooms with a ‘luxury’ rug might want to take a look at Home Bargains’ £8 offering.

The retailer is selling a Loft Range Faux Rabbit Fur Rug in cream for £7.99. The 60 x 90cm rug is described as “soft and fluffy” and capable of helping to “transform your space”.

The product description states: “Transform your space with the Loft Range Faux Rabbit Fur Rug in Cream! This soft and fluffy rug adds a touch of warmth and chic style to any room, making it the perfect addition to your modern home decor.”

It adds: “The Loft Range Faux Rabbit Fur Rug is a type of rug that features a soft and fluffy faux rabbit fur material. It is designed to add warmth, texture, and style to any room in the home. The rug is part of the Loft Range, which is a collection of home decor products that are known for their modern and chic design.”

The £8 rug is crafted from faux fur, making it cruelty-free. Faux fur is produced using synthetic materials such as acrylic, modacrylic, or polyester, meaning no animals were harmed or killed in its production. This allows people to enjoy the aesthetic of fur without supporting the fur industry.

The Home Bargains rug bears a striking resemblance to B&Q’s Luxurious Ivory Short Pile Sheepskin Rug, priced at £113.99. The hefty price tag is largely down to it being crafted from genuine sheepskin, making the £8 dupe not just easier on the wallet, but an animal-friendly option too, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Both rugs share a comparable shape and design, along with near-identical shades. Yet by heading to Home Bargains, shoppers can pocket savings of roughly £106 while achieving the same aesthetic.

The B&Q rug also measures 60 x 90 cm. The complete product description states: “Our short pile rugs add warmth and comfort to any space, the high quality New Zealand sheepskin holds its shape and looks effortless. This ivory shade will look great as part of many home styles.”

Elsewhere in homeware, shoppers can snap up a £1.50 sculpture from B&M that brings ‘grace’ and ‘beauty’ into your living space. The beloved high street chain is another go-to for homeware fans, offering an array of indoor decorations including statues, trinkets and vases.

For sculpture lovers, the shop has cut prices across a range of ‘contemporary’ pieces. Three Karina Bailey lady figurines are now up for grabs, each marked down to £1.50 from £3.

Buyers can pick from three different poses: one shows a woman with crossed legs, another captures the woman sitting in a twisted stance, and the third portrays a woman resting her head on her hand.
