Supermarkets do their best to avoid any surplus stock from going to waste ahead of Christmas so usually cut prices
Supermarkets like Tesco, Morrisons and Asda often slash the price of vegetables that we stock up on ahead of Christmas to give shoppers a last-minute deal. Some essentials can be bagged for as little as 10p – but you’ll have to brave the pre-Christmas supermarket rush.
With the cost of food increasing year-on-year, people will be wanting to make budget-friendly choices wherever possible. Some might want to think about grabbing their festive meal essentials at the last minute to bag some savings.
Shops often cut the price of certain foods just before Christmas. This is often done to keep the amount of wasted food down – especially as shops will be closed for Christmas Day.
Now major chains have confirmed the exact dates you’ll need to be aware of if you want to get discounted veggies. However, you’ll have to be quick as these flash offers are only on for a few days – and when they’re gone, they’re gone.
