Two cars appeared to have suffered significant damage to their front ends after a crash on Sunday night
Two cars have crashed in a Greater Manchester town, with one ending up in a garden after ploughing through a hedge.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene of the horrific collision in Ashton-under-Lyne on Sunday evening. Ladbrooke Road was closed following the crash at the junction of Sycamore Crescent just before 6.30pm tonight (Sunday).
Pictures from the scene showed a rapid response ambulance, along with firefighters and police officers. Both saloon cars appeared to have suffered significant damage to their front ends. One vehicle ended up in the middle of the road near a roundabout, while the other ploughed through a hedge and came to rest in a nearby garden, the Manchester Evening News reports.
The road remained closed while officers launched an investigation. Residents also reported hearing a police helicopter circling overhead shortly after the crash.
