High street retailer Boots is giving away more than £178 worth of free sought-after makeup and skincare products as part of its latest limited edition beauty edit. The chain’s Make More Room For Beauty New & Trending Beauty Box has gone live today, and it’s expected to be a sell-out.
The edit follows the success of a similar haul last year, with Boots saying the latest version offers ‘even more unbelievable value for your money’. Priced at £49, it contains £227.51 worth of products to pamper from head to toe.
Inside there are 14 exciting products from brands such as much loved, firm favourites Sol De Janeiro, No7 and NYX to new and trending brands such as Skin + Me, Supergoop! and The Beauty Crop. A whopping 12 of the 14 are full sizes , with some worth as much as £36 on their own. As part of the deal, they average out at £3.50.

Alternatively, there’s also the LookFantastic Mother’s Day Beauty Edit, which costs £50 and includes luxurious beauty buys that’ll leave the special lady in your life looking and feeling even more gorgeous. With names like Eve Lom, Aveda, Ghost and Clinique inside, the contents are worth over £215, meaning shoppers can save more than £165 on some seriously impressive products.
However, the new Boots box includes a range of sumptuous skincare, body care and makeup, which will appeal to everyone. One of the most expensive in the edit is the Supergoop! Mattescreen SPF 30 45ml, worth £36.50 .
The makeup-gripping, mattifying mineral sunscreen primer works to blur the appearance of pores, uneven texture and fine lines, leaving behind a soft-focus, matte finish. It has a tinted, blendable formula, designed to mattify and smooth skin’s appearance while minimising white cast and providing SPF 50 sun protection.
One reviewer said of the SPF: “Lovely sunscreen. I struggle with oily skin and use this to remove the shine. I use a moisturiser underneath, and it works great. I don’t wear foundation, so this is a lovely way to add the smallest amount of coverage – super natural”.
A different shopper gave it four stars but did say: “I have very oily skin and even though it doesn’t keep my face matte all day, it did help reduce the appearance of oiliness on the face for the first few hours of application.” Another added, “Brilliant for oily acne-prone skin, the texture is smooth and powdery and dries matte instantly, like a primer but with a bit of coverage.
“I’ve been using this for years now and will continue. It’s a bit pricey but worth it because it’s not pore-blocking or greasy at all. I love the texture. And the SPF is a bonus. It’s also pore-minimising.”
However, it’s important to note that the Supergoop! The Matte screen SPF 30 45ml product included in this box has a six-month expiry date and expires in September 2025, so it must be used before this date.
