People could add a ‘stylish’ way to ‘brighten up’ most rooms in the house for under £5
People who shop at B&M could get their hands on a bargain piece of homeware that is designed to bring “timeless elegance” to homes and “brighten up” most areas. The store’s Traditional Wall Light is available at an affordable price. The deal was recently flagged by a B&M fan who shared it in the Bargain Lovers Facebook group.
The poster wrote: “Spotted this wall light in B&M for £3. Run don’t walk!” On B&M’s website, it says: “Illuminate your space with this stylish Traditional Wall Light. In a neutral-toned, refined design, this is both a functional and decorative home accessory that seamlessly complements most interiors.
“Perfect for those looking to brighten up their bedroom, living room or office space, and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere with timeless elegance.” The light, reduced from £6 to £3 in a recent sale event, is available in both black and gold, though the gold version is priced at £12.
It could also pass off as something much more expensive that looks almost identical. Dunelm, the popular homeware store with over 200 branches across the UK, is selling a similar-looking wall light for £20, costing shoppers an extra £17.
The Prescot Wall Light comes in a range of colours, with the grey version being the closest match to B&M’s version. Bosses from the homeware store describe it as having a “modern and sleek design”.
They continued: “The finish adds a touch of sophistication, while the fabric shade softens the light for a warm and inviting ambience. This wall light is compatible with a dimmer switch, allowing you to adjust the lighting to suit your mood. Available in a range of colours, you can choose the perfect shade to complement your decor.”
Both options require shoppers to have wiring available in the area where the wall lights are to be installed. For people with their heart set on these designs, using battery-operated, rechargeable, or remote-controlled LED bulbs can avoid the need for hard wiring.
In other B&M news, shoppers have been able to pick up bargain items that could pass as other pricy brands. Recently, our shopping team highlighted a £5 vase for having a similar pattern to an expensive-looking John Lewis version worth £30.
The Blown Glass Vase is available to see online for £5 in B&M. It is described as a “great way to enhance your decor” at home, and B&M bosses describe it as “a beautiful glass vase with a stylish flame-effect design. Add your favourite flowers to this vase or use it as a standalone decoration for your home.”
Also, B&M is selling an ‘IKEA-style’ unit with a “rustic” appeal for £25. The Simply Panelled Six Cube Shelving Unit comes in a light oak-effect wood finish and costs shoppers £25 for the flat-pack unit.
Aside from looking like designer versions, the B&M furniture range has proven popular. Most of the current range is available to view online here, but shoppers can’t order it and must try in stores to make a purchase.
There are more than 770 B&M stores in the UK as of early 2026 across many towns and cities. Shoppers can find their nearest using the online tool here, which needs a postcode to locate nearby branches.
