The ‘elegant’ storage solution has been discounted in a recent sale
People who want to update their rooms on a budget might consider shopping during B&M’s recent furniture sale. One ‘elegant’ item costing less than £20 is sure to impress people who use many beauty products and tools to get ready.
The discount store is known for its bargain items for going around the home, with many pieces of furniture recently getting rave reviews online. In a world where people appreciate practicality just as much as appearances, shoppers might be impressed by the features of the ‘Beauty Ottoman’, discounted to £16 in a Special Buy sale.
B&M bosses describe the neutral-coloured ottoman as being “the perfect blend of style, comfort, and functionality”. The sturdy seat also has a major perk for anyone who wants to keep their beauty essentials neatly organised and out of sight when not being used.
The website adds: “This elegant Home Essentials Beauty Storage Ottoman is the ideal size and place to store beauty products, accessories, and more.” Photos show that once the lid is lifted, the hidden compartment has space for a variety of tools and beauty products.
Just because it is listed as being made for beauty products shouldn’t stop shoppers from making this practical item work for whatever needs they have. The storage seat could also be used as a functional yet aesthetic toy box or, pushing the side organisers in, it could stash cosy blankets or an extra bedding set for guests.
Looking around online, shoppers will see that some very similar items are sold elsewhere – but at a much higher price. One example is from popular homeware store Dunelm, with its Boucle Large Round Ottoman, available for £40.
The “soft” ivory-coloured stool is designed to “elevate living spaces … as a versatile and stylish addition to any room”. B&M do not provide dimensions for its ottoman, making it difficult to tell for sure which option offers more space just by looking online.
The Dunelm version of this furniture piece has one large storage space, compared to the handy compartments in the discount B&M version. The tops are slightly different too, with B&M’s design being plain, whilst Dunelm adds a stitched pattern meant to look a little like button-tufting.
Shoppers might consider the B&M bargain over the £40 Dunelm item, depending on their space, style and budget. The handy storage stool isn’t the only item getting attention from the store known for major bargains.
In other news, a practical £40 ‘lamp shelf’ has been getting shoppers interested by combining two much-needed features of a room that lacks light and storage. TikTok user Jordan (@Jordanlipscombe) showed how she set up and styled the £40 unit in her home.
After assembling the combined lamp and shelving unit, the content creator added various bits of decor, including books, scent diffusers, candles and other bits of homeware from B&M. She said it was “so cool” that the bargain unit had the option of dimming the lights. People in her comments section claimed it was “great value” and “lovely for the living room”.
