‘I have a Ninja but much prefer Haier. Cooks so much quicker and has a large capacity. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this’
Shoppers are racing to get a £200 air fryer that’s left their oven ‘redundant’ for less than £75. It’s available from Haier, which is knocking more than £125 off its Series 5 7L Air Fryer.
Originally £199.99, the nine-in-one device is currently reduced to £94, but our readers can save an extra £20 with an exclusive discount code. By using the code SECRET20 by June 1, the air fryer will drop to £74, a total saving of £125.99 or roughly 63%.
This undercuts Amazon’s £94 (was £99) price tag for the same model. The Haier air fryer is a versatile gadget with nine cooking functions, allowing users to not only air fry, but also bake, roast, grill, defrost, reheat and slow cook.
Despite its compact size, its extra-large seven litre capacity is said to cook four portions or a whole chicken, making it ideal for families. It also eliminates guesswork with preset cooking programmes recommending times and temperatures up to 200C for meat, chicken, fish, vegetables and baking, all controlled by a dial and digital display.
The Haier air fryer also boasts a clear viewing window allowing users to check on their food without having to open the draw. Haier touts the appliance as ‘energy efficient’, claiming it can save up to 70% on electricity usage compared to a traditional oven.

Haier is knocking more than £125 off its Series 5 7L Air Fryer when shoppers use the discount code SECRET20 at checkout.
We ran its 2,000W consumption through sust-it’s energy calculator and found it costs 49p per hour to run. What’s more, the Series 5 air fryer’s baskets and accessories are non-stick and dishwasher safe for a quick and easy clean-up.
Haier isn’t the only retailer slashing its prices, as the Ninja Air Fryer MAX has just dropped to £99.99 (was £129.99) at the new SharkNinja website. A caveat is that it features fewer cooking functions (four) than Haier’s and a slightly smaller 6.2L capacity.
Shoppers needing a larger model can find the Tefal Easy Fry Dual Zone Air Fryer for £99.99 (was £129.99) at Amazon, which boasts an 8.3L capacity across two individual draws. For those opting for the Haier Series 5 7L Air Fryer, this model has been awarded a 4.5-star rating by shoppers, with some saying they ‘prefer’ it to Ninja.
“The best air fryer ever,” one said. “Love the viewing window which isn’t something very common on the market. There are also many functions so it’s more than just an air fryer. 7L is big enough for our family of three and at this price point there’s nothing else better than this.”
Another said: “This is by far the best I’ve used. My oven is practically redundant since I bought this. It’s very versatile with multiple settings [and] large enough to cook a ‘bake in the oven’ baguette. It’s easy to use and I like that food can be ready to eat in the time it would take for my oven to heat.”
This shopper praised the Haier air fryer’s ‘sleek’ design, saying: “Large, sleek looking air fryer. Cooks food evenly and quickly. Handy light to see how food is progressing.”
However they also deducted a star from their review, adding: “Needs more detailed written instructions as only provides picture instructions. Also would be helpful to include a recipe book. That being said, it does cook food well, nice large basket and handy accessories.”
Meanwhile, another five-star review says: “I have a Ninja but much prefer Haier. Cooks so much quicker and has a large capacity. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this.”
