Fire in two flats in Battersea is brought under control
London Fire Brigade says that two flats were alight in the blaze but it has now been brought under control.
An update reads: “Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters were called to a building fire on Battersea Park Road in Battersea.
“The fire has been affecting a three-storey building with commercial properties on the ground floor and flats above. Two flats on the second floor, along with part of the roof of the building, were alight.
“The fire has now been brought under control by firefighters but crews will remain on scene over the coming hours to fully extinguish the fire and to dampen down. There have been no reports of any injuries at this time.”
