Shoppers can get the 100ml bottle of designer perfume for less ahead of Christmas
Boots has slashed the price of a ‘woody’ and ‘masculine’ designer perfume by more than half price ahead of Christmas. Many shoppers have branded the deal a ‘bargain’ and others say it is ‘perfect’ for husbands and dads, either as a treat or a gift.
Boots was originally selling Calvin Klein’s Man Eau de Toilette for £70, but it has now been reduced to £28, meaning customers can save £42. The deal is on a 100ml bottle of the perfume as well, meaning even more perfume is on offer for a fraction of its usual cost.
The perfume is described as ‘rich’, ‘sophisticated’, ‘manly’ and ‘earthy’. Its top notes include rosemary, mandarin, bergamot and violet leaf. The designer’s £28 perfume’s heart notes consist of bay leaves, nutmeg, incense, spearmint, while the base notes are cypress wood, guaiac wood, amberwood and musk.
Boots says: “Calvin Klein Man Eau de Toilette captures the essence of the modern Calvin Klein man. Bursting with crisp freshness, exotic spices, and rich woods. Sexy and stylish, it embodies the simplicity of contemporary luxury and style.”
The retailer added: “A fragrance for modern CK men who appreciate the rich, happy simplicity of a minimalist lifestyle. The ease of ‘less is more’, where the purity of single ingredients carries the intended message. A scent that celebrates introspection, for men who know exactly what they want.”
If you are interested in Calvin Klein’s Man Eau de Toilette, other retailers besides Boots are selling it for even less. Argos has a 100ml bottle available for £24. Elsewhere, Debenhams has it in stock online for £25. Another ‘woody’ perfume for men below £30 includes Amazon’s Laura Biagiott Roma uomo Eau de Toilette 75ml for £27.99.
At Boots, the £28 Calvin Klein’s Man Eau de Toilette has an average customer rating of 4.2 stars out of five. Some people were impressed by the ‘bargain price,’ with one writing: “This was bought as a birthday gift, it was half price and a real bargain.”
Others said the perfume is ‘perfect’ for their husband or father. One said: “It last long and smells nice, bought for my husband and he loves it so much.” A second said: “Bought this for my husband as it was on promotion, he liked it that much he’s now on a second bottle.” A third put: “Got this for my husband least year and he loves it. He prefers it over all his perfumes. And I love it as well. Very long lasting too.”
In terms of the price and smell, most shoppers were impressed. One wrote: “Amazing. Light and woody great for everyday. The price was great also.” Someone else wrote: “Nice classy smell, not too overpowering, good for any occasion.” One more put: “Love the smell. Manly but not strong. Good for everyday scents.”
However, some people shared their issues. One said: “Scent fades after 10mins. Smell is good just doesn’t last.” A second said: “The longevity isn’t as good for me it lasts about 2 hrs.” Another said: “The bottle itself is gorgeous, heavy and masculine, I just wish the fragrance was.”
But someone else wrote a glowing five star review, which reads: “Less expensive but still good quality, masculine, fresh, nice smelling fragrance that lasts longer than cheaper ones. Good value for money.” Another said: “I bought this as a gift and he really liked it.
