A Barclays customer asked for help over social media
Barclays has clarified some key timings that apply to customers being sent new card details. The bank spoke out after a customer asked for help as they were seemingly missing some account details.
The account holder reached out to Barclays over social media for help. They asked: “I ordered a new credit card with you on Sunday. It’s now nearly been a week and still not received it.” Barclays responded to set out the usual timeframe when you request a new Barclaycard. The provider said: “New Barclaycards typically arrive with 7-9 working days.
“As you’re within that timescale that new card could still arrive over the next few days, but if this doesn’t arrive we’ll be able to support you further.” If you need a replacement Barclaycard, you can order one in the app or through Barclaycard online servicing.

These are the steps to follow to request your new Barclaycard through the app:

£200 bonus payments
Barclays is also looking to attract new customers with a £200 switch offer. You can get the cash payment when switching to a Barclays Bank Account.
The offer is only open to new current account customers with Barclays, and only when opening a sole account. You need to arrange the switch in the Barclays app, through the Current Account Switch Service.
Your switch must include at least two direct debits and you also have to pay in at least £2,000 into the new account, within 30 days of opening your account. The offer is available until August 27.
