Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s new home might not be the sanctuary he had hoped for. The disgraced ex-prince faces unexpected challenges due to Marsh Farm’s location
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor could be forced to move yet again as his rumoured new home, Marsh Farm, is at risk of flooding.
The disgraced former Duke of York was forced to give up the lease on his 30-room Royal Lodge mansion back in October when he was dramatically stripped of all of his royal titles. It is understood Andrew’s things, including precious art, are now being kept in a South London warehouse protected by 24-hour guards.
In recent days, a removals van has been spotted at Royal Lodge after Andrew was supposedly given a deadline of next weekend to move out by. While Buckingham Palace has not confirmed it, it is believed that Marsh Farm is the property in Norfolk that the ex-prince will be moving to.

Both Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who has lived with her former husband in the Royal Lodge since 2008, will have to vacate the property before the end of the month, with reports claiming Fergie is “ready to spread her wings”.
A source told Hello! Magazine : “Andrew and Sarah have to move out by January 25. She has stood by him all these years but is now ready to spread her wings. She won’t be moving in with him to the new house on the Sandringham Estate. She won’t be moving into Beatrice’s Cotswolds home though. Eugenie’s home in Portugal is a contender while she finds somewhere.”
On Wednesday, huge removal lorries were seen at the Windsor estate, where they stayed for several hours before departing. At the same time, workmen were spotted at Andrew’s potential new home on the Sandringham estate, preparing for his arrival.
A large fence has also been erected around the property to give the potential new resident more privacy, along with security lighting. As Marsh Farm is undergoing these renovations, it is believed Andrew will move into temporary lodgings before he settles on the Norfolk estate around Easter time.
However, is has now been revealed that Marsh Farm is on a flood plain with residents advised to sign up for alerts in case local measures fail to stop a torrent of water from a nearby bog.
According to The Sun a flood risk assessment from last year for Wolferton Barns — metres from Marsh Farm — said it would be “prudent” for the owner to be added to the flood warning system in case the pumping station which drains marshland had a mechanical breakdown.
The assessment by Ellingham Consulting states: “The Environment Agency operates a flood warning system to enable householders to protect life or act to manage the effect of flooding on property.
“Failure of Wolferton Pumping Station may occur due to long-term mechanical breakdown or power supply being disrupted. If conditions put properties and land at risk of flooding, emergency action would be taken using temporary pumping equipment.”
It comes after several uncomfortable images of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor appeared in the Epstein file dump made public shortly before Christmas. Andrew has vehemently denied all wrongdoing and being pictured or named in the files does not equate to criminal wrongdoing.
