A source close to the disgraced royal has revealed when the former prince is set to move out of his 30-room mansion in Windsor – and it’s closer than you think
Months after it was announced that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor would be evicted from his home of the Royal Lodge, a royal source has finally confirmed his looming eviction date.
The disgraced royal was stripped of his royal titles by his older brother King Charles and handed back his 75-year lease on the 30-room Windsor mansion in October last year, amid the ongoing scandal around his connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Now, after months of royal watchers wondering when the former prince would finally move out of the grand yet crumbling residence he has called home for more than 20 years, it has been revealed that he will be moving within a matter of days.

Both Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who has lived with her former husband in the Royal Lodge since 2008, will have to vacate the property before the end of the month, with reports claiming Fergie is “ready to spread her wings”.
A source told Hello! Magazine : “Andrew and Sarah have to move out by January 25. She has stood by him all these years but is now ready to spread her wings. She won’t be moving in with him to the new house on the Sandringham Estate. She won’t be moving into Beatrice’s Cotswolds home though. Eugenie’s home in Portugal is a contender while she finds somewhere.”
The source added of their relationship: “Andrew has stopped getting newspapers or reading anything. He’s in his own bubble. The girls do see him. Sarah is still very upset at everything that has happened.”
On Wednesday, huge removal lorries were seen at the Windsor estate, where they stayed for several hours before departing. At the same time, workmen were spotted at Andrew’s potential new home on the Sandringham estate, preparing for his arrival.
Rumours have swirled that Andrew will be moving into Marsh Farm on the King’s Norfolk estate, but the home is currently undergoing renovations to ensure it is ready for Andrew to inhabit in the coming months. Buckingham Palace has not confirmed that Andrew will be moving into Marsh Farm.
Sky technicians were snapped at Marsh Farm with ladders installing what is thought to be Sky Broadband ready for Andrew’s arrival. One man, whose jacket had Sky VIP Team branding, was seen scaling the property up a ladder before examining the roof.
A large fence has also been erected around the property to give the potential new resident more privacy, along with security lighting. As Marsh Farm is undergoing these renovations, it is believed Andrew will move into temporary lodgings before he settles on the Norfolk estate around Easter time.
At the end of October 2025, King Charles officially stripped his disgraced brother Andrew of his HRH style and his prince title, and removed his dukedom from the Roll of the Peerage over his “serious lapses” of judgment.
The move followed the publication of a posthumous memoir by Andrew’s accuser, Virginia Giuffre, and the US government’s release of documents from Epstein’s estate. It emerged that Andrew had emailed Epstein in 2011 saying “we’re in this together”, three months after he claimed he had broken all contact with the billionaire paedophile. Andrew denies all wrongdoing.
