Here is a list of all the companies which are impacted by the latest outages involving Amazon and Microsoft, which is causing chaos online after they went down this afternoon

People are facing internet chaos due to massive outages to Amazon and Microsoft caused by their cloud service providers and here is a list of the companies which are set to affect you.

Reports of a problem with Amazon were first made to Downdetector around 3.30pm in the UK, with users unable to access cloud-connected services, websites or apps. The outage appears to be affecting dozens of platforms that rely on these cloud networks, including Microsoft365, Xbox, Outlook, Starbucks, Costco, and Kroger.

It comes after last week dozens of websites and apps went down due to a global Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage.

AWS powers the infrastructure behind many digital platforms, and the service is again experiencing issues – meaning a large number of online services are currently not working properly. And this time the situation appears worse as Microsoft’s Azure seems also to have been affected.

Microsoft says users of its Azure cloud portal may be not be able to access Office 365, Minecraft or other services due to issues with its global content delivery network services.

The tech company posted a note to its Azure status page that its teams are currently investigating issues related to its Azure Front Door service and acting to mitigate access problems.

Microsoft didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment, but the company acknowledged the issues on its Azure status page and its social media accounts.

Because so many sites and services use Microsoft’s cloud service, an like this one can have widespread results. On Downdetector, a website that tracks online outages, users reported issues with Office 365, Minecraft, X-Box Live, Copilot and many other services.

The simultaneous failure of AWS and Azure is worrying, as the two companies power much of the global internet infrastructure, responsible for hosting everything from retail and entertainment to business operations and cloud storage.

Many people have taken to social media to complain about the outage with one post on X reading: “First AWS, now Azure goes down. I love it when big companies own half the internet!!!”
