Aldi has just launched its brand new £25 candle advent calendar that’s full of miniature festive scents, and it’s a great alternative to Yankee Candle’s £50 version
When you picture your perfect festive scene, you probably imagine a cosy night in, with the Christmas tree lights twinkling, some tasty food on the table, and a candle or two flickering on your coffee table. If you want some lovely Christmas-scented candles to set the scene, with the added joy of a little surprise each day, then a candle advent calendar is perfect.
Whilst many of us might have been tempted to pick up Yankee Candle’s advent calendar, there’s another that’s just landed we’ll be flocking to snap up before it’s gone. Aldi has officially launched its brand new Hotel Collection Candle Advent Calendar Book for £24.99, and it’s filled with 25 candles in festive scents.

Each door reveals a single wick individual candle that’s housed in its own glass jar, so you can take it out and light it straight away. Every candle has a different scent, so each day you can fill your house with a new festive aroma for less than £1 a day.
The new advent calendar can be picked up in the middle aisle from Sunday 26 October, but you’ll have to be quick to pick it up as it’s only available for a limited time. Each candle inside gives you approximately 20 hours of burn time, giving you plenty of time to burn your scents in various rooms of your house throughout the festive period and even into the new year.
The candles are part of Aldi’s Christmas candle range which also features affordable lookalikes for brands like Diptyque and Jo Malone. However the Hotel Collection Candle Advent Calendar Book is a great alternative to the Yankee Candle Fragrance Lover’s Book Advent Calendar.
But while Yankee Candle’s version is priced at £49.99, the Aldi Hotel Collection one is half the price but actually gets you even more candles for your money. Whilst the Yankee Candle one has 24 candles (plus a tea light candle holder), Aldi’s includes 25 candles.
The Aldi Hotel Collection Candle Advent Calendar Book is just one in a line up of new Christmas scents from the retailer. The new Classic Ceramic Candle is just £6.99 and comes in three scents, however it’s a great lookalike for Diptyque’s £79 candle whilst saving you plenty of money.
