The range launches nationwide from March 16.
Aldi has revealed a significant change to one of its most sought-after aisles beginning this month. The budget supermarket is implementing a substantial overhaul of its alcohol aisle, unveiling new wines within days.
Aldi has previously introduced wines that become sensations or scoop accolades because they taste considerably more premium than their price tag suggests, including the renowned “cult” red Toro Loco Tempranillo for £5. This month, the supermarket is revamping its wine aisle for the milder weather with a fresh spring and summer selection influenced by beloved holiday spots and urban wine bars.
With vibrant bottles of rosé, white and red, they’re certain to prove popular with customers.
The discount chain says the collection seeks to capitalise on Britain’s desire for “affordable luxury”, with bottles obtained from areas including South Africa, Portugal and the south of France.
Arriving in branches across the country from March 16, the supermarket stated the selection is crafted to mirror the sort of wines customers might discover whilst travelling or eating out, but at supermarket costs. Imagine Tuscan rosé, Algarve reds and refreshing South African whites, with prices beginning from just £6.49, reports the Express.
Amongst the fresh arrivals is the Specially Selected Muscadelle (£9.99), a white wine Aldi claims is influenced by the variety frequently featured on restaurant wine menus and city wine bars. It boasts floral and stone fruit notes with a dry finish.
For red wine enthusiasts, the Mimo Moutinho Algarve Red (£6.99) aims to embody the essence of Portugal’s southern Algarve region. Aldi describes it as a bold yet smooth wine with dark fruit flavours and subtle spice, comparable in style to a Southern Rhône red.

A further addition hails from South Africa’s renowned wine region of Stellenbosch. The Specially Selected Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc (£6.49) delivers citrus and stone fruit notes with a fuller texture, making it a versatile white wine for food pairings.
Alongside the newly launched bottles, Aldi is also reintroducing several firm favourites.
The Specially Selected Organic Costa Toscana Rosé (£7.99) makes its seasonal return, presenting a pale rosé style drawing inspiration from Provence wines. It boasts flavours of raspberries and strawberries with a refreshing finish.
Also joining the lineup is the Specially Selected Chianti Governo (£9.99), a contemporary interpretation of the classic Italian red, celebrated for its ripe cherry flavours.
Another much-loved returning bottle is Jolie by Juliette (£7.69), a French rosé with berry and citrus notes that Aldi says is crafted to capture the spirit of Mediterranean rosé wines.
