Cat Deeley wore the M&S Floral Appliqué Mini Bodycon Dress on This Morning – shoppers are calling it the perfect summer wedding guest dress
Cat Deeley is renowned for her effortlessly chic, polished everyday looks. But this week, the presenter swapped her usual jeans and flowing dresses for a fashionable mini number, flaunting her legs as the sunshine made a welcome return.
On Tuesday’s episode of This Morning, she appeared in an eye-catching floral appliqué mini dress that’s ideal for summer occasions. While it appeared to be from a high-end designer label, we were rather surprised to learn it’s actually from high-street stalwart Marks and Spencer.
The presenter wore the Floral Appliqué Mini Bodycon Dress, which has just landed as part of the retailer’s spring-summer range. The elegant occasionwear piece appears considerably more luxurious than its £60 price point, and is available in sizes 6-18.
The figure-hugging mini dress features a flattering round neckline and sleeveless design, making it perfect for warmer months. It showcases intricate floral appliqué detailing throughout, delivering a textured, high-end finish that transforms the straightforward silhouette, reports Wales Online .
The bold mango-coloured shade is brilliant for wedding guest attire, race meetings, garden soirées and summer festivities, providing a fun twist on conventional floral prints. The fact that this hue is already appearing across high street shops demonstrates just how sought-after it’s anticipated to be over the coming weeks.

Make a statement this summer in this sophisticated mini bodycon dress adorned with floral appliqué. It’s cut in a regular fit, with a round neck and a neat side sip zip fastening. The sleeveless piece is fully lined for modesty and a luxurious feel.
At ASOS, the Mango flowy maxi dress in bright orange is priced at £49.99 and makes an excellent choice for holiday wardrobes. It features a plunge neckline and racer back with a flowing silhouette that skims the figure, making it ideal for anyone who might feel self-conscious about their midriff.
At Nobody’s Child, the Yellow Shirred Scoop Neck Juliette Midi Dress is available in an amber tone for £50 for those enrolled in their ‘members’ club, down from £84.15. One shopper said: “This looks amazing and makes me feel so happy. I usually don’t wear dresses that are sleeveless but this is just perfect in every way.”
The M&S dress is evidently winning over shoppers as well. One said: “Great little dress I bought for a summer wedding I haven’t worn it yet but love the colour its the right fit and has received compliments from husband and daughter, fabric is gorgeous with the appliqued flowers, can’t wait to wear it.”
Another added: “At last something different for women who are not six feet tall. You have some fab dresses for taller women, but next to nothing for those of us who are petite. Love the colour, the cut, and the fit.”
That said, some have pointed out that the dress tends to run slightly small, commenting: “Beautiful dress. My normal size did not fit, so I had to order one size up, and it fit perfectly. The material is lovely, and the colour is stunning. Really happy.
“Absolutely gorgeous, ordered a size 8, but it was too small on the bust, so upsized to a 10 and fits perfectly,” a fourth commented.
Another added: “Perfect for a summer wedding. Love the colour and cut of this dress. The fabric is really unusual, and the flowers are so eye-catching (although some of the larger flowers have a tendency to flop). I am between two dress sizes and definitely need the larger of the two, so size up if you are unsure.”
Cat teamed her dress with a pair of Sezane Mira Low Sandals, priced at £185. However, this frock would look equally stunning with a heel.
While Cat frequently wears designer fashion, this high-street discovery demonstrates that show-stopping occasionwear needn’t carry a hefty price tag. At £60, M&S’s piece offers an excellent way to achieve a luxurious aesthetic without breaking the bank.
