A1 shut down after major crash called in late Wednesday night
The A1 in Northumberland is closed in both directions between the A6105 at Berwick-upon-Tweed and the A1107 at Eyemouth, in Berwickshire.
A National Highways spokesperson said: “The closure comes after a serious collision, with emergency services called to the scene at 9pm (Wednesday, 28 January).”
The spokesperson added that all emergency services are in attendance, with Northumbria Police leading the response at this stage.
