Marks and Spencer has reduced the bestselling dress
Marks and Spencer shoppers have branded a denim dress as being “very comfortable” and “stylish”. The high street store’s summer sale means it has dropped from £38 to £26.60.
The Denim Button Through Midi Waisted Dress is currently the fourth best seller for Marks and Spencer. Shoppers say it fits true to size and comes in petite, regular and tall lengths.
It comes in sizes six to 24, but it is proving popular, so some sizes have already sold out online. The product description reads: “Add to your collection of casual go-tos with this denim midi dress.
“It’s designed in an easy, regular fit with a neat crew neckline and short sleeves. Front and back princess seams on the bodice are paired with a waist-cinching belt to create a flattering, tailored silhouette.
“The metal button-front fastening finishes the piece with timeless appeal.” Many shoppers have been left happy with their purchase.
One said: “Gorgeous dress, very comfortable to wear, good price.” Another added: “This is a lovely dress and very practical and easy to wear. I love it and will find lots of opportunities to wear it. I’m 5’3″ and between 12 and 14 Reg. Kept the 12 and it comes mid calf. All perfect.”
Someone else commented: “Good quality and nice fit. Stylish, comfortable and feminine.” A fourth wrote: “Comfortable and flattering, great purchase – love it!”
Another shared: “A good quality, lovely denim dress. Very comfortable to wear and true to size. I ordered my normal size 10R, and it fitted perfectly. Will get lots of wear out of it.”
Despite the positive reviews, some shoppers have found issues with finding the right size. One said: “Had to purchase approx 5 to get one that fitted as the petite was wider on the hips compared to the regular… ridiculous!”
Another added: “I loved the denim dress, unfortunately, it just didn’t look right on me.” Someone else commented: “A well-made dress, although the style did not suit me, so I returned it. I also felt the denim was rather heavy for a summer dress.”
Marks and Spencer isn’t the only store to sell midi denim dresses. New Look has Blue Cotton Short Sleeve Tiered Belted Denim Midi Dress that’s also in the sale.
It was £44.99 but is now £31. The dress features a central button-down closure with a detachable belted waist.
Meanwhile, Roman has Button Detail Tiered Midi Dress for £45. It is currently stocked in sizes 10 to 20 and features a shirt-style collar with denim belt.
