A three-year old boy has been seriously injured after being hit by a van at a UK campsite.
The toddler was rushed to hospital in an air ambulance from Red House Farm in Earnley, near Chichester after the incident on Saturday.
Police were called by witnesses at around 7.30pm.
Sussex Police have said that no arrests have been made and an investigation is underway.
The boy is being treated for serious injuries.
Witnesses said the air ambulance was at the scene of the campsite on Bookers Lane at around 9pm, according to the Mail.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “Emergency services responded to a collision at a campsite in Bookers Lane, Earnley, Chichester, at around 7.30pm on Saturday, August 1.
“A three-year-old boy was injured after he was involved in a collision with a van and he was taken to hospital for treatment.
“No arrests were made and police are investigating the circumstances.”
Red House Farm is a family-run campsite just three miles from West Wittering Beach in Chichester.
It is a small site with ten pitches for caravans and motorhomes and 20 spots for tents.
It also has four ‘luxury glamping pods’ on site.
