Police said his death is being treated as ‘unexpected’
Police are investigating after a man was found dead in a city centre hotel.
Merseyside Police confirmed that a man’s body was discovered this morning, Saturday, August 1, inside a hotel room in Liverpool. Officers have attended the Brownlows Inn on Mount Pleasant.
Emergency services are currently at the scene in Liverpool city centre following the death, the force confirmed. They said that a report that the body of a man, in his 40s, had been found was received at around 11.15am, reports the Liverpool Echo.
The man was found dead at the scene by paramedics. Merseyside Police said his death is being treated as unexpected.
The man’s next of kin have been informed, and a postmortem investigation will be carried out to establish his cause of death.
Currently, enquiries at the scene remain ongoing, police have said.
