Powered by Mānuka honey, Melora’s simple, natural approach to skincare has been praised by shoppers with psoriasis, eczema, rosacea and mature skin
Social media has a lot to answer for when it comes to skincare routines, with many beauty buffs opting for lengthy routines, viral products and active-packed formulas. However, for those with sensitive skin, rosacea or eczema, many products available on the high street aren’t suitable.
Sometimes, taking it back to basics and using natural ingredients is the best approach for achieving happy, healthy, hydrated skin. And we’ve found a bundle powered by superfood Mānuka honey that’s been hailed as the ‘best for eczema’.
Melora’s 3-in-1 Mānuka Skincare Set has dropped from £53.97 to £38.98, saving shoppers almost £15. The collection includes three full-sized products, each one working out at just under £13 each.
Inside the set is the brand’s Purifying Mānuka Face Wash , Mānuka Moisturiser Cream and Restorative Mānuka Balm . Powered by premium New Zealand Mānuka honey, the trio is designed to cleanse, hydrate and help support the skin barrier, making it particularly good for summer when skin can become dehydrated from sun exposure and air conditioning.
The first step is the Purifying Mānuka Face Wash, which is also reduced from £14.99 to £10.49 on its own. The gentle cleanser removes dirt, oil and impurities without stripping the skin, balanced oil production and minimises breakouts, while botanical extracts and naturally derived ingredients help leave complexions feeling refreshed and hydrated.

The set contains the brand’s Purifying Mānuka Face Wash, Mānuka Moisturiser Cream and Restorative Mānuka Balm. Powered by premium New Zealand Mānuka honey, the trio is designed to cleanse, hydrate and help support the skin barrier,
Next is the Mānuka Moisturiser Cream (£18.99), a hand and body cream enriched with Mānuka honey, shea butter and coconut oil. Suitable for all skin types, it’s can be used from head to toe and is formulated to deliver long-lasting hydration while helping to strengthen the skin barrier and protect against environmental stressors.
Completing the set is the £19.99 Restorative Mānuka Balm , a multifunctional treatment designed for lips, cuticles, dry patches and even smoothing flyaway hairs. The balm features high-grade 525+ New Zealand Manuka honey, which the brand says is the equivalent of medical-grade potency.
I actually discovered the balm in winter when my hands and elbows can get quite dry. The Melora Restorative Manuka Balm melts slightly with the warmth from your finger delivering enough product to apply to affected dry areas. It provides immediate relief without any sticky residue and doesn’t feel as though it needs to be constantly reapplied.
I love that the ingredients list isn’t a mile long, either. It’s mostly a selection of natural oils like sweet almond and jojoba, paired with Mānuka honey and Vitamin E, so I know it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, either.
Another popular skincare balm is the Balmonds Skin Salvation Intensive Moisturising Balm 30ml, which is £9 at Amazon. The 100% natural barrier balm is regularly lauded by eczema sufferers for its a gentle, fragrance-free formulation that locks in moisture, soothes irritated skin, and protects against water loss, helping to break the itch-scratch cycle.
Alternatively, Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant is usually £31, but is currently £23.25 at Boots. Also a multi-use skincare balm, the award-winning formula comes in a squeezy tube and has been a cult-favourite for almost 100 years.
Back at Melora, the range has earned plenty of positive feedback from shoppers, particularly those dealing with dry or sensitive skin. One said: “I have been using Melora manuka honey face moisturiser for awhile and keep buying it because it is the nicest moisturiser I have ever used. It smells lovely, sinks into my skin so easily yet still leaves it moisturised all day long without it being greasy.
“I am sure this moisturiser has had a very positive effect on my skin because it looks so much nicer now and at aged 66 I don’t stress over my skin drying out or my wrinkles looking so deep. I have however been using a drop of retinol in with the moisturiser before going to bed over the past 5 months. My skin looks much healthier now. I will definitely continue using Melora products.”
Another added: “I have only been using the creams for a few days but I can already feel the difference. The moisturiser feels nice and light and my skin feels soft. I think it is going to be good value too.”
Not every review was completely glowing, however. One shopper noted that while they liked how well the moisturiser absorbed and how soft it left their skin, they weren’t keen on the scent. They wrote: “I personally don’t like the smell, but it soaks in well and leaves my skin soft.”
“Smell strange, the consistency of the cream is not right,” one echoed.
Several reviewers who experience eczema and psoriasis also praised the products. And while the products are by no means a cure for skin conditions, they have been known to help alleviate symptoms associated, such as itching and redness.
One wrote: “I have psoriasis and I have been using creams etc from the doctors and nothing seemed to make a difference. After using this soap daily for two weeks I’m so happy to say it’s made a massive improvement. My skin has softened and cleared.”
“I have severe eczema. Many other creams help but Melora Manuka Honey moisturiser seems to be able to calm and heal the ‘break out’ significantly faster,” another wrote. “Old pigmented scars are also lighter in colour despite using the cream for a few weeks. So the cream is helpful in the acute as well as the chronic phase.”
Another shopper raved: “Best moisturiser for eczema I have found in four years of trying.”
Others with rosacea reported positive experiences too, one of which wrote: “Having suffered with rosacea for years and spent a fortune on a variety of different creams and face washes, I can honestly say that this is the best product I have used. The face wash has a pleasant smell and a little goes a long way. Even though I have only been using this for about a week, the redness on my forehead, nose and chin have definitely improved. Also my skin generally looks better.”
Another said: “I used to have mild rosacea on the left of my face but after a couple of weeks of using this, it faded. I’ve been using this moisturiser for a few years now and my skin is still clear and hydrated. I love this product and panic at the thought it might disappear one day. I honestly couldn’t live without it.”
For those looking to strip back their skincare routine and try a gentle, natural approach, the Melora 3-in-1 Mānuka Skincare Set is now £15 off on the Melora website.
