The supermarket is launching a ‘convenient’ laundry accessory for shoppers
Laundry days could be about to get easier thanks to a £2.49 Aldi item. Known for selling home and cleaning gadgets, the supermarket is launching a new item designed to make it easier to keep clothes neat and tidy when they’re on the drying stand.
The retailer has unveiled a Sock Hanger that’s designed to ‘keep small garments organised and secure while drying.’ Showcasing the design on its website, Aldi said: “Foldable design. Adjustable hooks.” The description continued: “Lightweight and convenient for everyday laundry use.”
The Sock Hanger will be available in stores from July 30. While shoppers can use Aldi’s stock checker, a note on the supermarket’s website advises customers to visit their local store if they’re interested in a particular item.
Aldi explained: “We update our stock checker frequently but because our products are so popular the availability displayed is just an estimate. To see exactly what’s on offer head to the middle aisle!”
Sock hangers are often popular with families as they enable people to dry multiple items at the same time without taking up lots of space. Whether you clip the hanger to your usual airer or elsewhere around the home, it helps people to dry more items at the same time, and it helps prevent small garments, such as socks, from getting lost.
Many high street retailers sell sock hangers and similar accessories. For example, Home Bargains sells the £1.99 Utility Folding Peg Airer. The product description said: “Make laundry day easier and more efficient with this versatile Utility Folding Peg Airer.

Elsewhere, Dunelm sells the £3 Sage Multi Peg Hanger. The description told shoppers: “With a compact design for easy storage, this sage green coloured peg hanger has been crafted from durable and strong plastic and features a sturdy hanging hook for easy storing and comes complete with 20 pegs.
“Perfect for hanging smaller clothing items such as socks and baby clothes!” Shoppers can also view more options online.
