Coleen Rooney has gained a lucrative new deal that has overshadowed Wayne Rooney’s with the BBC
The youngest son of Wayne and Coleen Rooney has begun a new career in modelling. Eight-year-old Cass, who is the younger brother of Manchester United star Kai, made his debut in front of the cameras alongside his mum to show off her clothing range for Primark.
Coleen’s shift into fashion has seen her become the family’s biggest earner, according to reports. The 40-year-old is said to have pocketed more than the figure her husband received last year to join Match of the Day as a pundit, with the ex-footballer’s BBC salarary for 2025/26 not meeting the £178,000 per year disclosure threshold when the broadcaster released its accounts earlier in July.
In February, The Sun claimed that the former I’m a Celebrity star had signed a lucrative seven-figure deal with Primark last year. Coleen, who has four sons with ex-United star Wayne, said: “Having Cass as part of the kidswear photoshoot was special.”
A source told The Sun at the time: “Coleen is so proud to be a working mum and she wanted to keep things affordable for her fans. She didn’t just sign for the cash, it was because she felt aligned with Primark’s values.
“Coleen is super proud with the clothes she’s worked on with Primark. It’s got a real athleisure feel. Primark thinks it will fly off the shelves.”

Another insider told the newspaper: “Coleen is a perfectionist and throws herself into every project she gets involved in. With Primark, she worked so closely with them on the entire collection. It’s made for working mums just like her — the range is stylish yet practical.”
Coleen has had deals with George at Asda and Littlewoods, but it looks like she has out-earned Wayne with her latest contract. Meanwhile, young striker Kai recently celebrated reaching a new milestone.
The 16-year-old signed a scholarship deal with United and subsequently took to social media, declaring: “Work starts now.” Kai has been part of United’s youth ranks since the age of 11.
His deal marks a huge moment in his young career. A scholarship allows youngsters to continue studying while pursuing a career in football, and to sign a professional contract when they turn 17.
