Asda is more than just a supermarket that stocks groceries and clothes – it also sells a range of garden items
Shoppers looking to give their gardens a fresh new look this summer may want to check out a new addition at Asda. The supermarket giant, best known for its groceries and George clothing range, also stocks a wide selection of outdoor furniture, décor and garden accessories.
With more than 1,000 locations across the UK, including Asda Express stores, superstores and petrol stations, the retailer has become a one-stop shop for far more than just the weekly food shop. Its home and garden ranges have also proved popular with shoppers looking for affordable seasonal buys.
The latest launch comes as another spell of hot weather sweeps across the UK, prompting many homeowners to make the most of their outdoor spaces. Whether it’s new furniture, decorative ornaments or garden lighting, plenty are searching for budget-friendly ways to spruce up their gardens without breaking the bank.
One product that has caught shoppers’ attention is the George Home LED Solar Firefly Stake Lights, which are sold as a pack of two. Priced at just £5 both in-store and online, they work out at £2.50 per light, making them an affordable way to brighten up outdoor spaces.
The lights feature a simple black finish, making them a versatile addition that can complement a wide range of garden styles and outdoor décor. Each stake is fitted with multicoloured LED lights, designed to add a vibrant touch to flower beds, pathways and borders once the sun goes down.
Measuring 6cm x 8cm x 40cm, each stake is compact enough to fit comfortably into a range of outdoor spaces without taking up too much room. The lights are powered by a rechargeable battery, although one is not included with the product.
Shoppers rushed to the Asda website with a number of positive reviews. One wrote: “Striking colours at night,” while another noted: “Easy to set up with nice colours.”
A third said: “Bought these lights, absolutely brilliant, looks great at night. Well worth purchasing.” It doesn’t end there either, with a fourth adding: “I highly recommend these lights to customers.”
More details and additional product images are available on the Asda website. The supermarket giant offers a range of grocery delivery options, including standard scheduled slots and one-hour express delivery.
Standard delivery costs typically range from £1 to £7, depending on the time and day, while express delivery starts from £8.50 with no minimum spend. A minimum basket value of £40 applies to standard home delivery, with orders below this incurring a £4 fee.
Shoppers can also use Click & Collect for free on orders of £25 or more, while regular customers can save on delivery costs by signing up to a Delivery Pass, with plans starting from around £3.95 a month.
