Alizée Thevenet turned to her stylish sister-in-law’s go-to jewellery brand for Ascot
This week, the royal and royal-adjacent families showed up in numbers to celebrate Royal Ascot, and as you might expect, they did it in style. Yesterday, we were treated to appearances from Princess Kate, Zara Tindall, and Queen Camilla, as well as two members of Kate’s family: her mum, Carole Middleton, and sister-in-law, Alizée Thevenet.
We imagine Alizée was aware she’d be reuniting with her glamorous in-laws on the royal balcony, since she decided to wear one of Kate’s favourite jewellery brands for the occasion – a thoughtful touch that could signal a mark of respect between the two.
Alizée picked a pair of gorgeous Sézane Colombe golden ecru earrings for the day, which retail for a surprisingly affordable (well, for a near-royal, anyway) £85. Made from recycled pewter and resin, they have a fine gold plating, with surgical steel posts left unplated to avoid allergy risks. They’re also shaped like seashells and feature pearl-like drop detailing.

Alizée, who is the wife of Kate’s brother James, paired her earrings with a pretty white dress embroidered with pink flowers. Featuring vintage-like eyelet lace detailing, she accessorised the maxi with a bag and shoes by Longchamp. It was the Sézane Colombe earrings, though, that really pulled focus.
When we say Kate is a fan of the brand, we don’t mean she’s worn it just once. The princess keeps at least seven pairs of Sézane earrings, that we can tell, in her jewellery collection. Notably, she wore the brand’s mother-of-pearl and gold earrings during a visit to Jamaica in March 2022.
In other outfit details from the day, Kae re-wore her Roksanda Brigitte Dress, which comes in a sunny shade of bright yellow. She previously wore the midi dress to the 2022 Wimbledon finale, and it features a tailored silhouette, a full skirt and an oversized bow detail on the shoulder.
