A man in his 40s has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after a brutal assauly by a gang of ‘around four’ men who kicked him to the ground and assauled him in central London last night
A man has been left hospitalised in a critical condition after he was attacked by a gang of four thugs in central London last night.
The victim, aged in his 40s, was knocked to the ground and set upon by the group near the Southbank Centre in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police said no arrests have been made and officers have appealed to the public for help with their “urgent inquiries”.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Around 00.15hrs on Sunday, June 14, officers attended Belvedere Road, South Bank, following reports of an assault.
“The victim, aged in his 40s, was assaulted by a group of around four men, who knocked him to the ground and assaulted him.
“He was taken to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
“No arrests have been made at this stage, and officers are making urgent inquiries.”
