A major UK motorway is closed for more than 12 miles due to a serious collision.
The M6 southbound in Cheshire is shut between Junction 19 for Knutsford and Junction 18 for Middlewich with police at the scene and a diversion route in place.
National Highways said: “Collison investigation is ongoing by Cheshire Police. Recovery has started but is expected to be protracted. Barrier repairs are also required at scene once recovery is completed.”
