The Argos ‘next level gaming’ event has something special for Super Mario and Pokémon fans.
Nintendo fans can pick up a Switch 2 for a record low price as Argos launches an early Easter sale. The retailer just kicked off its ‘next level gaming’ event, which includes a ‘special offer’ on the Nintendo Switch 2 Console.
It’s now up for grabs at £385.99, which Argos says is its ‘lowest price’ ever. However, the Argos gaming sale is coming to an end on Tuesday, March 31.
Similarly, Argos is offering the Nintendo Switch 2 and Mario Kart World Console Bundle for £409.99. The Switch 2 quickly became Nintendo’s fastest selling console ever when it launched in June, with the brand claiming 3.5 million units were sold in the first four days.
The handheld device offers some big upgrades from its 2017 predecessor, including a bigger 1080p screen with support for 4K resolution when connected to a TV, frame rates up to 120 fps and 256GB of storage. The new Joy-Con 2 controllers can now be used like a computer mouse thanks to an optical sensor on the side of each device, while Game Chat lets gamers chat with friends while playing online.
The Switch 2 is the go-to gadget for fans of beloved franchises like Super Mario, Pokémon and Donkey Kong, each of which is exclusive to the console. For shoppers who prefer to spread the cost of their tech, the Switch 2 costs £10.99 per month with no upfront cost on a Raylo subscription.

Argos customers can pick up a Nintendo Switch 2 Console at its ‘lowest price’ in the retailer’s gaming sale.
A caveat is that to get this price means signing up for a 36-month contract. Elsewhere, Amazon slightly undercuts the Argos deal by offering the same model for £385.
The Nintendo Switch 2 has earned a near-perfect 4.8-star rating from Argos customers after almost 300 reviews. Of these, 260 gamers awarded it a glowing five stars.
One review says: “An absolutely brilliant device. I’ve never had a hybrid console before but the ability to swap between TV and handheld at a moment’s notice is great. Resuming a game is immediate and there’s no fan noise at all. I’ve been playing Breath of the Wild and it’s so smooth and lovely.”
Another says: “Worth every penny. I was so on the fence about buying a Switch 2, but I wish I had bought it sooner. Great picture, the frame rate is second to none.”
Despite branding it an ‘amazing handheld’ in their four-star review, this Switch 2 buyer criticised the battery life, saying: “I gave four stars just because of battery life. With more demanding games, the battery works for a maximum of 2.5 hours. Apart from that, pretty amazing handheld.”
Meanwhile, this five-star review says: “The new Switch is so much better than the original. Larger with a bigger screen and Joy-Cons. Doesn’t feel as flimsy as the old one, and the magnets to connect the Joy-Con are very strong. Really recommend upgrading to the new one, it’s so much faster too.”
